I don't know if my sweat rate is low or my body adjusted growing up in Florida or what but I take in less than most. I can't imagine drinking that much water. I honestly don't know if I drink in a week as much as you drank on that run.Angela and Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15196403668528302122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1403432524962865970.post-2411575652327472502009-07-21T10:33:35.778-10:002009-07-21T10:33:35.778-10:00WOW!!! Since summer has really arrived in AZ and I am training for IM I have had to stop every 1.5hr during my longer bikes to refill 2 x 24oz. bottles. I just suck them down and am still thirsty. Even on a 30 minute run I have to wear my fuel belt and go through 20oz. Happy training :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1403432524962865970.post-64224324531632807802009-07-21T08:58:54.492-10:002009-07-21T08:58:54.492-10:00Wow! I totally get the not going potty for a while; I did a 1/2 marathon on Sunday in just under 1:40 and I didn't "go" until that evening - go figure because I felt great and hydrated!<br />Great job on the long run!Katie A.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05532916063060905892noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1403432524962865970.post-7770911999161545782009-07-21T07:12:08.739-10:002009-07-21T07:12:08.739-10:00Wow, Michelle. Not enough fluid the night before (I think). Ended up with major cramping at mile 2.5 (which was annoying as I was really on a good pace until then) and then had to stop and walk twice in order to finish. Very upset with myself! But lesson learned and in a weird way it was still kind of fun! Guess I am still figuring my hydration out :) It sounds bizarre, but I actually love running in the heat and sun - for some reason it makes me feel stronger.
